Onam Bumper Winner: Who Is the Luckiest One, and Where Was the Ticket Sold?

Ticket TL 360615 won the Rs 30 crore first prize in the Thiruvonam Bumper BR-111 draw held on 26 September 2026 at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. It was sold in Kannur district: the ticket went out from Muthu Lottery Agency in Chakkarakkal, passed to Thampuran Lottery Agency at Thaliparamba, and was sold over the counter by a retail seller in Thaliparamba town. As of the morning of 27 September 2026, the person holding it had not come forward, and the seller told reporters he could not remember who bought it. All 90 lakh tickets printed for the draw were sold, a first for the Kerala State Lotteries Department.

Who is the winner of the Kerala bumper lottery?

Nobody knows yet, and that is normal. The retail seller at Thaliparamba told Asianet News he had taken 30 tickets from the sub-agency and could not recall who bought the winning one, though he believes the buyer is from around Thaliparamba. A winner does not have to announce anything: the rules give 30 days from the draw, so until about 26 October 2026, to hand the signed ticket to a bank or the lottery office, and late claims can be accepted on valid grounds up to 90 days in total. Many keep quiet for good reason, and we will not guess at who it is.

Whoever it is will not see Rs 30 crore. After the agent's commission, the flat 30 percent tax, the surcharge and the cess, the real take-home on the first prize works out to roughly Rs 15.5 crore. If the ticket is sitting in a drawer in Kannur right now, the first 24 hours after a win matter more than the claim itself: sign the back, photograph it, and never post it online.

Which agency sold the winning ticket?

Three hands, all in Kannur, as reported by Manorama News and Asianet News:

• Muthu Lottery Agency, Chakkarakkal: the agency that took the ticket from the district lottery office.
• Thampuran Lottery Agency, Thaliparamba: the sub-agency it passed to.
• A retail seller in Thaliparamba town: who sold it to the buyer.

This is Muthu Agency's second bumper jackpot. The Rs 20 crore Christmas-New Year Bumper drawn on 5 February 2025, ticket XD 387132, was also sold through Muthu, in Kannur. That will get called luck. It is volume. A big wholesale agency pushes huge numbers of tickets out to sub-agents across a district, so it will turn up behind winners again and again, exactly as the odds of the draw predict. The selling side gets the agent commission, commonly cited at 10 percent of the prize, which here is about Rs 3 crore; how it is shared along the chain has not been published.

How many Onam Bumper tickets were sold?

All 90 lakh, which at Rs 500 a ticket is Rs 450 crore of sales. Reported district figures:

Kannur, where the ticket was sold, is not in the top three. Palakkad sold more than a fifth of all tickets and still did not get the first prize, which is the whole point: every ticket had the same 1 in 90 lakh chance, wherever it was bought.
