Billing, cancellation and refunds

This page covers the paid listing plans in the Kochi Business Directory. A standard listing is free and nothing on this page applies to it.

How you are billed

There is no online checkout and no card is stored. You email us, we agree the plan and the start date in writing, and we raise an invoice. Payment is made against that invoice. Nothing is charged automatically and nothing renews on its own: each month or term is invoiced separately, so a plan simply stops if you do not renew it.

Cancelling

Email editorial@hailakochi.com at any time and say you want to stop. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no minimum term. Your listing reverts to a free standard listing at the end of the period you have already paid for, and the Sponsored marking is removed. If you would rather the listing came down entirely, say so and it will be removed.

Refunds

If we have not delivered what the plan describes, you get your money back for the period concerned. In practice that means:

Refunds are made by the same route the payment came in, normally within seven working days of us agreeing the amount.

What a paid plan does not buy

This matters more than the refund terms, so it is stated plainly. Paying does not buy favourable editorial coverage, and it does not buy protection from unfavourable coverage. It does not buy a guaranteed position in Google or in any AI assistant, and nobody can honestly sell that. It buys a marked placement on this site and, on the Spotlight plan, a clearly labelled paid article. Any paid article carries a visible Paid partnership notice at the top, and its outbound links are marked as paid links, because that is what search engines and Indian advertising rules require.

Disputes

Write to editorial@hailakochi.com and we will try to resolve it directly. We would rather refund a dissatisfied customer than argue with one.
