Yes, completely. There is no paywall, no subscription and no sign-up. Every article, guide and business listing on the site can be read by anyone, with no account and no email address required.
How often does Haila Kochi publish new articles?
New articles are published every day. The archive currently holds more than 140 articles covering food, things to do, guides, people, lifestyle, business and technology in Kochi, and it grows daily.
Who writes Haila Kochi?
Articles are published under the Haila Kochi Editorial Team byline. The Where to Eat section collects the food coverage, from Fort Kochi breakfast spots and Ernakulam-side tiffin rooms to seafood, sadya, street food, toddy shop lunches and the newer cafes in Panampilly Nagar. Guides name real, specific places rather than generic recommendations.
Does Haila Kochi have an events calendar for Kochi?
There is no live ticketing calendar. The Things To Do section covers what is worth doing in and around the city, including seasonal coverage of Onam, the monsoon, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and festivals as they come round. For anything time-sensitive, check the venue directly before travelling, because timings and dates change.
Does Haila Kochi cover the Kochi Metro and Water Metro?
Yes. Transport is one of the most-covered subjects on the site, including how to get around Kochi, metro routes and extensions, the Water Metro network, the Vytilla mobility hub, ferries and the airport. These are in the Guides and Business sections.

Not yet. A newsletter is planned but no mailing list is running at the moment, so nothing is being sent. If you would like to be added when it launches, email editorial@hailakochi.com and your address will be kept on file for that purpose only.

What is the Kochi Business Directory?
It is a directory of businesses based in or serving Kochi, published at hailakochi.com/companies. Each business gets its own page with a description, sector, location and a link to its website, marked up with structured data so search engines and AI assistants can read and cite it. It currently covers companies across IT and software, banking and finance, food and agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, leisure and education.
How do I list my business on Haila Kochi?
Email editorial@hailakochi.com with your business name, sector, area in Kochi, a short description, a website link and a contact number. A standard listing is free and there is no account to create. Listings are usually built within a couple of days.
How much does it cost to list a business on Haila Kochi?
A standard listing costs nothing at all. Paid upgrades exist for businesses that want more visibility: a Featured listing is marked Sponsored, ranked above standard listings and pinned to the homepage directory spotlight, and a Spotlight package adds a written profile article, clearly marked as a paid partnership, that stays in the archive. Are the businesses listed on Haila Kochi paying customers?
No. The directory was compiled by the editors from publicly available information, at no cost to those businesses and with no commercial relationship. Appearing in the directory implies no endorsement. Only a business that has actually paid is marked Sponsored, and that marking appears wherever the listing does.
How do I claim, correct or remove my business listing?
Email editorial@hailakochi.com from an address connected to the business. You can correct the details, add social links, take a sponsored placement, or ask for the listing to be removed entirely. Removal requests are honoured without argument.
