Wonderla Kochi: Timings, How to Reach Pallikkara and the Dress Code
Wonderla Kochi opens at 11 AM and its water rides at noon. How to get to Pallikkara without a car, what to wear on water rides and how to plan the day.
Wonderla Kochi, on the Kakkanad to Pallikkara road about 15 km from Kochi city centre, opens at 11 AM and closes at 6 PM on weekdays and 7 PM at weekends, as of October 2026. The water park runs from 12 noon to 6 PM. There is no metro to the gate, so plan on a bus, auto or cab for the last stretch, and pack nylon or polyester clothes if you want the water rides.

What are the Wonderla Kochi timings?
| Weekdays | Weekends | |
|---|---|---|

| Water park | 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM | 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM |
These are the hours Wonderla lists for Kochi as of October 2026; check the park's timings page before you set out, especially around holidays. Tickets are dated, non-transferable and non-refundable, so a washed-out day is your loss. Prices are shown when you book on wonderla.com, which also lists its offers. The address is Kakkanad Pallikara Road, Pallikkara, Kumarapuram Post Office, Kochi 683565.
How do I get to Wonderla Kochi?
- By bus: Wonderla's own directions say to take any KSRTC or private bus heading towards Muvattupuzha or Pallikkara and get off at the Wonderla stop. From the city, the simplest chain is a bus to Kakkanad, then onwards; the park is roughly 7 km past Kakkanad.
- By auto or cab: the easiest option with children, and the only door-to-door one.
- By train: Wonderla points visitors to Ernakulam Town or Ernakulam Junction, then a taxi or auto. Ernakulam Junction (Ernakulam South) is about 20 km away by road, so the train only helps if you are coming from outside the city.
- Driving: the park has free parking on site. Allow extra time on holidays.
Which metro station is closest to Wonderla Kochi?
Wonderla names Aluva Metro Station as the nearest, and from there you still need a taxi or auto. As of October 2026 Kochi Metro runs from Aluva to Tripunithura and does not reach Kakkanad; the Infopark extension is still under construction, which we cover in our piece on the Pink Line. Since you finish by road whichever way you go, for most families a cab door to door is simpler than a metro-plus-auto relay.
What can you wear on the water rides?
This is where most first visits go wrong. Wonderla's rules allow only 100% nylon or polyester on water rides: T-shirts, shorts, Bermudas, three-fourths and swimsuits. They specifically prohibit:
- sarees, churidars and salwar suits
- denims, cargos, formal pants, and shirts
- burkhas and pardas, scarves and school uniforms
The park's own stores sell compliant clothing if you turn up without it. Phones, watches, spectacles, earrings, bangles and hair clips must go in the lockers or storage boxes before rides, and jewellery is not allowed on water rides. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and bags are screened at the entrance, so budget for eating inside.
What is the best way to go to Wonderla?
Our pick is a weekday, arriving for the 11 AM opening; a working day is the best bet for shorter queues, even though weekends give you an extra hour. Because the water park opens an hour after the gates, the efficient order is dry rides first, water rides from noon through the afternoon, then change and finish on the dry side. Wonderla can close rides temporarily for safety reasons, so an early start gives you slack.
A little history: the park opened in 2000 as Veegaland, started by V-Guard founder Kochouseph Chittilappilly, and later took the Wonderla name, which now also covers parks in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar and Chennai.
